こちらは擬宝珠（ぎぼし）とよばれるもので、
日本の伝統的な欄干に用いられる頂華の一種です。
真鍮製で、お色や佇まいも存在感があり、味わい深いです。
その形状は仏教の宝珠または葱花に由来すると考えられており、歴史的には魔除けの力があると考えられていました。日本庭園、寺院、神社の橋などによく見られます。
この頂華は、円筒形の柱と横帯、丸い台座、そして先端の尖った宝珠で構成されています。

This is a brass giboshi (擬宝珠), a type of ornamental finial 新品 on traditional Japanese railings.
The shape is believed to be inspired by the Buddhist hōju ("sacred gem") or an onion flower, and was historically thought to protect against evil spirits.
They are commonly found on bridges in Japanese gardens, temples, and Shinto shrines.
The finial consists of a cylindrical column (dō) with horizontal bands (fushi), a rounded base (fukubachi), and a pointed jewel decoration (hōju) at the top.
This pair is un新品 old stock. The finish is smooth with some tarnish-patina from age. The buyer may choose to polish them or not.
